The Barn
**Welcome to Woodworking for Warriors' Temporary Woodshop!**
We are thrilled to announce that Woodworking for Warriors has been graciously provided temporary use of a historic barn dating back to the late 1800s. Nestled in the picturesque town of Tipton, Michigan, along Route 50 (Monroe Rd.), this barn will serve as our interim home as we embark on our mission to find and fund our permanent location.
Our temporary woodshop will be able to accommodate up to 12 members at a time, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for woodworking enthusiasts of all skill levels. Initially, we will be open on Fridays and Saturdays, from 8 A.M. until 5 P.M., providing ample opportunities for members to unleash their creativity and hone their woodworking skills.
Currently, we are hard at work making necessary repairs and minor modifications to the barn to ensure it is safe and suitable for our use. In the coming weeks, we will be filling the space with top-of-the-line equipment to facilitate our woodworking endeavors. When we open our doors in early June, members can expect to have access to a range of machinery and tools, including:
- SawStop Professional table saw
- Band saw
- Lathe
- Festool Kapex miter saw
- Drill press
- Planer
- Jointer
In addition to these machines, we will also have a host of hand tools and supplies readily available for members to use in their projects.
We are incredibly excited about this new chapter in Woodworking for Warriors' journey, and we invite you to join us in making it a success. Stay tuned for updates on our progress and announcements regarding our grand opening. Together, let's build something meaningful, one woodworking project at a time.
If you're interested in becoming a member or supporting our cause, please don't hesitate to reach out. We look forward to welcoming you to our temporary woodshop soon!
